Fundraising Initiatives

The Football in the Community scheme and ATFC are often asked to assist with the raising of funds for various schools and community organisations.

Through the activities of the scheme, club and various organisations many funds have been raised over the years for schools, youth groups and charity organisations.

The latest scheme run by FITC to help organisations and schools raise funds is the Target Challenge. Competitors take five shots at the Aldershot Town target ring with each shot being sponsored and every score being recorded.

The funds raised by individuals are split 50/50 between their school or organisation and ATFC's Community Trust which is a registered charity. They will use the money to develop work with the organisation/school and the local community.

Every participant receives a commemorative certificate and the top scorers receive a limited edition ATFC award of merit.
The top fundraiser will receive a unique signed and framed ATFC team picture which will be presented on the pitch at an ATFC home match where he or she, plus a guest, will be VIP guests of the club for the day.

Below, players from Aldershot Town and pupils of Connaught School take the Target Challenge.

Other joint fundraising opportunities, including inset training days and coaching courses, also prove popular with schools and youth organisations.
