Terrell Forbes: 2012/2013 Biography & Statistics

Terrell is a tough-tackling defender, who is primarily a centre back, but he can also play at right back and is equally capable with either foot.

He began as a scholar at West Ham United and, having won the FA Youth Cup in 1999, signed full pro forms in July of that year; he went on loan to AFC Bournemouth three months later, making his senior debut against Bristol Rovers in a Division 2 fixture. Having failed to break into the first team at Upton Park, Terrell joined Queen's Park Rangers on a free transfer in July 2001, thus beginning a part of his career that would see him be perform consistently to the point where he was a virtual ever-present for various clubs over the next 12 years.

In 2001-02, he missed just three league games in what turned out to be a pre-cursor to two promotion pushes. In 2002-03, Terrell was part of the Rs' side that finished fourth in Division 2 before losing to Cardiff City in the play-off final, with promotion being attained the following season by way of finishing as runners-up in the division to Plymouth Argyle.

A month or so into the 2004-05 season, he left Loftus Road and spent the remainder of the campaign at Grimsby Town before playing for Oldham Athletic for the whole of the following season. In July 2006, newly-appointed Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade (who was his manager at Grimsby) brought Terrell to Huish Park, where he played in all 52 of the club's league and cup games in 2006-07; having claimed a fifth-place finish in League 1, the Glovers beat Nottingham Forest in an entertaining two-legged play-off semi-final that yielded nine goals, but were beaten by Blackpool in the resultant final.

However, the next three seasons saw a reverse in fortunes for Yeovil as relegation was avoided by two places and four points (in 2007-08), two points (2008-09) and then three points (2009-10). In October of the latter season, Terrell scored his first-ever senior goal against Bristol Rovers - 10 years and 10 days after he made his senior debut against the same opposition.

In May 2010, Terrell moved to Leyton Orient, thus linking up with boss Slade for a third time and his two seasons at Brisbane Road were mirror images of each other league wise. In 2010-11, he was part of the side that reached the FA Cup fifth round, where they earned a creditable 1-1 draw with FA Premier League Arsenal before bowing out in the replay. At the end of the campaign, they missed promotion from League 1 by just one place and one point, whereas they missed relegation to League 2 by a solitary place the following season.

In the summer of 2012, Terrell joined newly relegated Chesterfield, made his 500th career appearance against Dagenham and Redbridge midway through the October and proceeded to make 21 appearances in all competitions before having his contract cancelled and signing for Aldershot Town in the January 2013 transfer window.
