Paul Priddy: 2007/2008 Biography & Statistics

A former goalkeeper with Brentford Paul made 122 appearances for the west London club before further spells at Wimbledon, Tooting and Mitcham, Hayes and Hampton. He joined the club in 1994 as Goalkeeping Coach after being invited to do so by former Brentford player and ex shots Coach Paul Shrubb. Pridds is now the longest serving member of the coaching staff at the Rec and is highly respected within the club.

He also holds the Aldershot Town club record of being the oldest player to represent the club in a competitive match, when he took to the field against Bromley in the Isthmian League Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg on April 8th 1999, aged 45 years 270 days. A goalkeeping crisis saw shots without a keeper prior to kick off and Paul was registered with the club in case of emergencies; this was an emergency ! Aldershot progressed to their first ever cup final and Pridds receiving a standing ovation at the final whistle and had an emotional embrace with his family.
