Boss Confirms Striker Signings

Manager Terry Brown confirms to www.theshots.co.uk that there has been player movement into the Rec

Shots manager Terry Brown confirmed to www.theshots.co.uk on Friday afternoon that he has secured the services of former QPR striker Leroy Griffiths until the end of the season. London born Griffiths, 29, made his name during his time at Queens Park Rangers where he is noted for a special goal he scored against Chelsea. However he is a frequent goal scorer at this level and netted 23 goals last season in the Grays Athletic Conference South championship side. This season Leroy has been performing at Ryman League front runners Fisher Athletic and he has joined the Shots on a long term loan deal from the south London side.

Leroy offers us strength and pace and he also has the ability to hold the ball up and generally excite the crowd.

Boss Brown said, "Leroy offers us strength and pace and he also has the ability to hold the ball up and generally excite the crowd. I have been a long term admirer of his. He is a player that needs a stage and let's hope that the Rec is his stage to blossom."

Leroy Griffiths is expected to partner Tim Sills in attack versus Halifax Town on Saturday.

The boss also confirmed that two goal striker from last weekends Hampshire Senior Cup Quarter Final encounter at Basingstoke Town, Kirk Hudson, has signed on non contract forms.
