Boss Explains Hudson Absence

Boss Talks to regarding striker

Supporters who travelled to Altrincham on Saturday afternoon were surprised to see the name of new striker Kirk Hudson missing from the team sheet. With the departure of Tim Sills to Oxford United the previous day it was expected that Hudson, who scored a brace in the recent Hampshire Senior Cup Quarter Final at Basingstoke Town, would partner Leroy Griffiths up front.

<1> However manager Terry Brown confirmed why the former Celtic youth player was missing, "It's true, Kirk would have certainly been involved at Altrincham but continuing our trend this season he has gone down with a bout of mumps. It is a painful illness for a youngster and Kirk is likely to be missing for about a month or so. It is unbelievable really but that is the kind of luck we have had this season on the injury and illness front. I wish him a quick recovery and hope to see him back soon".
