Charlie MacDonald wins Powerade Player of the Month Award as he keeps his London side on course for League Two title.

Brentford striker Charlie MacDonald has won the February Powerade Player of the Month Award in Coca-Cola League Two.

MacDonald was among the goals once again in February, netting five times in six games for Brentford to take him to the top of the Coca-Cola League Two scoring charts. He began the month in impressive style by scoring a hat trick in his side's home win over Chester City. The forward followed this up with decisive strikes in the Bees' victories over both Port Vale and Rochdale to help them extend their lead at the top of League Two.

Also short-listed for the February award were Efe Sodje of Bury, Michael Twiss of Morecambe and Rotherham United's Andy Warrington.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel said, 'Charlie MacDonald has been the most consistent goalscorer in League Two this season. His all-round game has really improved and his five goals in six games in February underlines just how important he is to Andy Scott's side in their quest for automatic promotion this season.'

Jason Scotland of Swansea City won the award in the Championship and former Shot Aaron McLean now playing at Peterborough United landed the League One accolade. - congratulations to him from everybody at the EBB Stadium.

The Powerade Awards panel, chaired by Sky Sports pundit and Coca-Cola Ambassador Chris Kamara, made the decision. The panel also includes Steve Bates, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation and Steve Watts, Marketing Assets Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
