More than a hundred supporters, players and staff helped raise a further one thousand pounds for Dean Holdsworth's transfer fund at a fundraising horse racing night organised by the Shots Player Share group.

Shots first team players Peter Vincenti and Aaron Morris delighted supporters by making special guest appearances and whilst Vincenti was unable to beat the bookies he and Morris were big hits with the fans, chatting with supporters and signing autographs throughout the evening.

Ian Dawkins who arranged the evening spoke of his pride in being involved in Shots Player Share. "The Player Share team are firstly and foremost supporters. We want to give Dean as much help as possible whether that's with permanent or loan signings. We have also supported contract extensions such as Jermaine McGlashan's contract last season which hopefully will have helped in commanding a fee following his transfer to Cheltenham."

Meanwhile, Shots commercial manager Nicky Banger praised the Player Share group for organising the event. "Once again Shots supporters have shown there is a growing sense of unity at the club both on and off the pitch. Events like this help to bring people together which really helps to move the club forward."
