Shots v Leyton Orient FA Youth Cup

Shots U18s victorious at Brisbane Road

Leyton Orient 2:3 Shots

The Shots' youth team recorded an excellent victory tonight away to Leyton Orient in the FA Youth Cup second round.

Despite going a goal down after eleven minutes the Shots equalized through Halliday on thirty three minutes but then conceded again a minute later. They continued to push for the equalizer but went in to the half-time break a goal behind.

The second half started with the Shots pressurising the Leyton Orient defence and that pressure paid off after a quarter of an hour when Blair scored the leveling goal. The Shots began to have more of the possession and to show greater urgency. With a minute to go they won a corner, Orient failed to clear the ball from the six-yard box and Gerrard got the decisive final touch- 3:2 Shots.

An excellent win for the team whose reward is a third round tie against West Ham United, a match that will be played at the EBB stadium.
